FITA Unmarked: Ice Breaker |
The event lived up to the billing with freezing conditions throughout the day. Those lucky enough to have arrived at 7:00 for set up where sustained with a combination of bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages and hash browns yum yum... thanks Noel. |

The forecast rain for the morning did not arrive until after lunchtime but, while heavy, did not last for the promised 5 hours. Strong winds caused problems on some targets but the course was by in large sheltered with slippery slopes. |

The midges don't realise that the Summer is supposed to be over! Mild, dry weather had them out at the beginning of November. A number of changes to many targets and a few shots which haven't been used for a while. Scores for the Marked 12 can be entered in the UK Marked Round League |

FITA Mixed |
A new venue - an extensive plantation of various species of trees with abundant wild life. The sight of buzzards floating down the pathways between the trees made the day worthwhile even without the archers who had made considerable effort to come in fancy dress. As usual John Kenny had devised unusual rules. The morning had a variety of faces, all within the specification for their respective rounds, while the afternoon was a FITA Unmarked. |

Saturday - brilliant sunshine, calm - great day for a shoot. Sunday - cooler, dull and hints of rain. At least the autumn colours were a good show with many trees still bearing leaf. |

Course organised by Lough Cuan following the kind offer by Banbridge. The bridge at Hydebank being damaged and unsafe John Kenny set had his own take on peg positions and face sizes. Constant rain untill just after lunch, slippery underfoot where there were cobbles or tree roots. |

small (but select) turnout. With the Junior Championships in Wales moved from the published date in August to this weekend numbers were, understandably, depleted. A heavy, but brief, shower fell after lunch otherwise the day was fine with sunny spells. Course design Brendan Byrne & Gilbert McClelland? |

Ulster Forester/FITA U/M |
Scheduled as a 3D at Hydebank this had to be changed at the last minute. Someone, it would appear driving a 4x4 vehicle and using the forest without permission, damaged the stone bridge we use for access. An alternative way in was sought but we did not hear from the authorities in time. Venue switched to Ards Rugby grounds where the open fields gave no reference for sighting. The weather was fair. Course set by John Kenny |

What better day to hold an American! Sunny spells with heavy, threatening cloud around early afternoon but no rain. A strong, gusty wind from the South blowing from left to right caused problems for some. |

with other attractions throughout the Provence there was a low turnout. Those who did get there were treated to a Big game with 6 extra 3D targets thrown in a la hunting trail. Philippe does admit that the 27m squirrel was a bit harsh..................... |
